A Heritage of Excellence for All Children

Multilingual Learners (MLLs)

A Multilingual Learner, or MLL, is a student whose primary or home language is not English.  Schools work to ensure the MLLs are able to read, write, and speak English at a high level to succeed in all core subjects.

To learn more about the program please email the Division of Multilingual Learners at DML@schools.nyc.gov
