Thank you for everything you have done throughout this eventful school year! Your leadership and dedication to your staff and students are commendable. As a former principal, I know firsthand just how taxing this position is physically and emotionally. Yet, each and every one of you have stepped up in a big way to bring solidarity and unity during one of our most challenging school years. I can’t thank you enough for showcasing just how resilient New York City principals are. I am extremely proud of what I have seen during my school visits the past six months and will continue to support and advocate for you.
I have written an end-of-year letter for our families sharing my gratitude and reflections that I would like you to circulate to families in your school community. A PDF of this letter in English is attached, with translations available for download at schools.nyc.gov/messagesforfamilies.
